About Race to Twenty

Race to Twenty is a counting game with a hidden strategy. Players take turns adding 1 or 2 to a running total, and whoever lands exactly on 20 wins. Young players practise adding on; older players can hunt for the pattern that guarantees a win.

How to play

1. On your turn press +1 or +2.
2. The number goes up — whoever says 20 wins.
3. Try to spot the winning numbers.

Tips

If you land on 17, you win no matter what the other player does. Work backwards from there!
