About Missing Factor

Missing Factor flips the times table round: you see 3 × ? = 12 and have to find the hidden number. It is a friendly way into division, because "what times 3 makes 12" is the same question as "12 divided by 3".

How to play

1. Pick a level: up to 5, up to 10 or up to 12.
2. Look at the sum with the ? in it.
3. Tap the number that makes the sum true.

Tips

Count up in the known number until you reach the answer: 3, 6, 9, 12 — four steps, so ? = 4.
